New AMREF Running Ambassador
AMREF is delighted to introduce Mara Yamauchi, our new Running Ambassador.
Mara is the second fastest female British marathon runner ever, and was named after the Mara river in Kenya – so she is the perfect person to promote and support AMREF’s running programme.
“Jambo! I am delighted to accept the role of UK Running Ambassador for AMREF. After spending my childhood in Kenya, Africa is very close to my heart. So I am supporting AMREF because its work in improving health in Africa is so important.”
Mara will be providing preparation tips for all Team AMREF runners and signed goodies will be up for grabs for the top fundraisers in each running event!
